Research
I started my research activities with IESE
Business School in 2000. My research interests lay in
the areas of knowledge management and economics, with an emphasis
on emerging markets.
- Between 2000 and 2003 I worked with professors from the Information
Systems Department at IESE Business School. I actively participated
in the identification and writing of two cases on knowledge
management for the Information Systems Department about a couple
of leading companies operating in Spain, Unión
Fenosa and Siemens.
The cases were presented at the Copenhagen Business School in
September 2002 and the Cass
Business School in London in June 2003. The case on Knowledge
Management at Siemens Spain won the category "Knowledge,
Information & Communication Systems Management" in
the 2005
ECCH/Business Week European Case Awards.
- Between 2002 and 2003 I collaborated with the Economics Department
at IESE Business School in the creation of a study commissioned
by the Government of Catalonia to analyze the impact of the
EU Enlargement to Catalonia. I worked in the chapters related
to the economic impact, more precisely on EU structural funds,
those funds targeted to the poorest EU regions, and agricultural
subsidies.
- Between 2005 and 2008 I provided occasional research assistance
to Prof. Sanjay Peters, currently at IESE Business School, on
Indian economy topics. I participated in the revision of the
book In
Pursuit of Progress and Equilibrium published in 2008.
